Hey I'm planning on starting bikram hot yoga and i noticed you said you did it last week. What is your experience with it?

Hi! For me, the benefits of Bikram/Hot yoga are:
- Heat helps me stretch further.
- Gets my heart rate up.
- Motivating environment. Everyone is really focused.
- Instructor talks you through the entire workout.
- Clears my pores.
- Focus on strengthening & stretching back.
- Incorporates great balance exercises.
Cons:
- Makes you dependent on doing yoga in a studio.
- Showering twice a day…
- Boasts unrealistic benefits (digestive health, endocrine health, activating your thyroid..yaddy-yaddy-ya)
- Long, 90 minutes
I like to do Bikram yoga once a week and regular vinyasa yoga more on a daily basis. One tip I have is to look out for Groupon or LivingSocial deals for new yoga students! If you’ve been to a studio even once you’re not qualified.
